2 Weeks ago while happily walking Charlie our Springer Spaniel on the beautiful and quaint Instow Beach just 5 minutes drive away from Riverside Cottage, we spotted a lady nursing a little black puppy - she had apparently walked too far and was too tired to walk any further...the puppy that is...arh.
We had to stop and speak to her and gurgle over the beautiful 8 week old cocker spaniel puppy. More than half an hour had passed and we were about to let the poor women finish her walk when she turned to us and said: “well, I know where there’s some more of these if you really like her!”
Well, we didn’t need to ask her twice and before we knew it we were taking the breeder’s details from her and within the hour was on our way to visit the breeder and remaining puppies in nearby Greater Torrington. There were 2 litters available: 1 all liver cocker spaniel from the 1st litter of 6. There were also 5 lively and mostly black cocker spaniels remaining from the 2nd litter.
They were all cute, but again there’s always one that stands big paws and floppy ears above the rest there was our 2nd puppy, we paid our deposit and returned a week later to collect her, we called her Chloe.
